Siddha Pokhari
Siddha Pokhari, also known as Tamdi Pokhari, is a large, historic stepped pond located just outside the old city walls. Built during the Malla period as a royal bathing and ceremonial pool, the pond is surrounded by terraced stone steps, mature trees and a peaceful garden that offers a welcome contrast to the busy historic squares inside the old city. Local residents use the area for morning walks and meditation, and the pond's calm waters reflect the surrounding trees and sky, creating a tranquil and photogenic setting.
